These past few days have been a whirlwind of activity for me both online but mostly offline. I finally got my butt in gear and read a majority of the things I needed to in English and did so many pages of notes it was ridiculous and the teacher noticed! The first person he called on today was me (I think he wanted to make an example out of me aka for people who don't know what they're doing) and he seemed surprised that I knew what he was talking about. And throughout the class I actually spoke my opinion and stuff and he said that he liked that I was finally speaking up. ♥

Went and saw Eagle Eye today, me and friend totally called it on who the main enemy was but it was entertaining none the less though the ending pissed me off. After that type of movie you'd think it would be a better ending then what it was. I liked some of the concepts in it though about the government but at the same time I was frowning at just how many deaths were in it. Not main character deaths but civilian deaths. If anyone goes to see it or who have seen it watch/look at just how many explosions happen. :<

Since entering [livejournal.com profile] bof_icontest I've been making a lot of Breath of Fire icons! XD I've never even played the series before but I'm abusing the artwork from Breath of Fire V.

I almost bought Runaways today but sadly didn't have the money to buy the set. Does anyone else read comic books ?

BTW Oh hay [livejournal.com profile] animanga_lims, are you dead. :)

Bitchin' paycheck this week! \o/ Sadly I'm going to have to reduce the days I work though from 4 to 3 because I just can't handle it- school is suffering. The shifts I work literally take up all my time in the afternoon and night, so I have no time to study at all. I find myself having to do the homework the day of when its due, either cramming literally five minutes before the class (like my poor English class, I probably look like the airhead of the class when I love the subject :< ) or with my math class, just grabbing the worksheets of the problems were doing and cramming in the library while the class is taking places for the quiz that happens at the end.

I don't know if I want to take Fridays off or take Monday off- I don't have classes on Friday and that's the day where I could probably get a lot done or I could take Mondays off. On Mondays I have my English class and I have to rush to catch two buses in order to get there on time.

Decisions, decisions :/

Concerning LJ's new profile page my knee jerk reaction is to call foul and hate the poor thing, but now that I've sit back and actually looked at it as second time, I kind of liked it? My only problems with it, is the black lines that separate the different sections of the profile layout itself- too me it just clutters the interface of the poor page and looks out of place. :x

Tomorrow I go to work and deal with issue there and hope it gets resolved - I don't want anymore drama there. I really don't. Tomorrow is also the start of the Big Experiment. Me and a friend are taking Intro to Human Sexuality (which I think everyone should take), and we have to write a reaction paper and one of the prompts is to go to a store by yourself and just buy condoms and write about the reactions you get. The teacher said its the most popular prompt but also the most dangerous for girls- the guys are apparently patted on the back, joked with and generally nothing happens to them. But if a girl does it, all hell breaks loose if the cashier is an older woman who thinks she has the right to call people anything she wants based on an assumption.

For our reaction papers me and my friend are grabbing a bunch of our mutual friends and were hitting up different stores and each store we're gonna try different scenarios and seeing what reactions we get~.

Once again guys, if it won't take too much of your time can you look over at [livejournal.com profile] dynast_lims and vote in the tie breaker? I can't make any decisions because literally it's still a tie. :/

Today was probably the hardest day in my English class, I thought I was prepared for it but I had missed a book I needed to read and it was the discussion of the entire class. I think Zeus (the teacher) picked up on it, and kept looking to me and I just '. . *slide in the chair*' me and Eros (the guy who sits next to me) were both grasping at straws as we drowned and we were so happy to get out its ridiculous.

Tonight is web design class which feels like its going to be another marathon. :x; I can keep up with the man but at times I totally blank out and I have no idea how he got from point A to point B the way he did, and I just short cut it the way I know I can. Which is probably not helping but I'm keeping up? :D

I've picked up reading Harry Potter again ♥ I've missed this series. Another random fact that deals with books, I always sit in a certain part of the library- the very back right corner to be exact. While procrastinating, I got up and decided to actually look at the shelves closest to me, I almost started laughing. All the shelves surrounding me are filled with books dealing with folklore and different variations and retelling of fairy tales! Just thought that was interesting. ♥

Past few days have been alright and this weekend I don't have closing shift! \o/ I'm actually going to be going home around the time the sun sets/is still in the sky not when there's no one outside and the moon is high. XD; This week was kind of a wake up call school wise, so I'm probably going to focus more on my studies and start working harder in my classes in general, Well, the ones that require it, its still a fun semester but I just need to actually pay attention and focus on it.

On the subject of school, I have to say this: what the hell community college art students. I'm not talking about my year or maybe I am, but more than likely its pointed to the older generation. I was in the library a lot yesterday and I finally found a book about Alphonso Mucha and his art and I was so happy to find it. I open it up. Someone had taken a box cutter and taken whole pages out of it. WTF? I understand the class is hard or you need it for a class, but what gives you the right to ruin a book and then not tell anyone. Hell, how did you think that was a good idea? Oo; What about the other people who want to look at it after you?

I went to two different colleges, the first had Alphonso Mucha: The Complete Posters and Panels by Jack Rennert and Alain Weill; and Drawing the Female Figure by Joseph Sheppard and whole pages or sections were taken out with box cutters. :/

I have work in less than an hour and I haven't eaten all day. 8D;;; I don't even think I get three meals a day anymore, its either gotten to the point where I can eat one or two meals and I'm totally fine. Eating in the morning makes me slightly sick now.

It's now either the third or fourth week of school and it still really doesn't feel like school to me. The classes aren't crazy hard and this semester is just mostly reading and listening which is nice, but after a while can get repetitive. The only thing really killing me this semester is the cost of all the books that I need, my english course is the most expensive by far but I don't know how much longer I can go without either A. copying the pages out of my math classes book or B. breaking down paying the $140 for the damn text. :/ My only problem with buying is that its so expensive and even if I try to resell the damn thing I'd only get $70 at best.

I need to make happier journal entries~

So far 16 participants have signed up for the second round of [livejournal.com profile] trinity_lims which makes me so happy! There's a lot of new people signing up to it which makes it better. :3

I've talked to [livejournal.com profile] weirdgirlahead on msn for the first time! I thought I had gotten over my fear of people but it reared its head the moment she replied back the first time. XD; I've only talked to her once but she seems so nice. ; ; I should probably try talking to her again.
